Clarification on Appreciation Message to First Lady, Party Leaders, Residents, and HoR Aspirants in Oshodi APC Primaries — Hon. Foluke Daramola-Salako

The Media Directorate of Hon. Foluke Daramola-Salako, a female aspirant in the recent House of Representatives Primaries for Oshodi-Isolo Federal Constituency I, wishes to officially clarify that the recent appreciation message to the First Lady, Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu, party leaders at the community, state, and national levels, residents, and fellow aspirants, is an appreciation message, and has nothing to do with celebrating victory in the primary elections of the party.

We wish to state unequivocally that the message was merely an expression of gratitude for the support, acceptance, and encouragement Hon. Foluke Daramola-Salako’s political aspiration has received across the party and the constituency.

Hon. Daramola-Salako used the message to appreciate Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for her unwavering advocacy and purposeful leadership in promoting the 35% affirmative action policy, for women’s inclusion in politics, leadership, and governance.

This advocacy has inspired and encouraged female party members like her to actively participate in the democratic process and contest elective positions.

She also appreciated the overwhelming support and acceptance her political project has received from leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the community, state, and national levels before, during, and after the primaries.

At no point did the appreciation message make reference to the outcome of the primaries, as the official results are yet to be announced by the party’s electoral committee and the official list of successful candidates, has not been released by the National Secretariat of the party.

Hon. Daramola-Salako sincerely appreciates members of the public for their goodwill, support, and prayers toward her political project and aspiration.

The statement issued by her Media and Publicity Directorate, was simply a message of appreciation to her supporters, party members, and the good people of Oshodi.

The final outcome remains in the hands of the party leadership and the appropriate electoral organs responsible for officially declaring the winners of the primary elections across board.
