It is with a heavy heart, that I received the sad news of the passing of my friend, political associate and the woman Leader of our dear local government, Alhaja Modinat Ibrahim, who left us yesterday after a protracted illness.

A few weeks ago, I visited her at home to check on her, and offer my support in my own little way after learning about her health condition.

It is therefore deeply painful to hear that my sister, Modinat, has passed on.

She was a politically versatile, dogged, and influential woman, whose impact on the politics of Oshodi/Isolo Local Government and beyond, as the woman leader, will not be forgotten in my consciousness, and that of my political group.

Alhaja Modinat and I had known each other politically since 2021, when we worked together for the emergence of the current Chairman of Oshodi/Isolo local Government, Otunba Kehinde Oloyede Almaroof.

From that period until her passing, we remained in touch and maintained a cordial political relationship.

I pray that Almighty God will accept her soul and reward her abundantly for all the good she did during her lifetime.

I extend my heartfelt condolences to the government and people of Oshodi/Isolo Local Government, the women of our community, and every member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) family in Oshodi/Isolo and across Lagos State. This is a painful loss that has touched many lives, and I pray that God grants everyone the strength, comfort, and courage to bear this difficult moment.

The passing of Alhaja Modinat Ibrahim is not only a personal loss to those who knew and loved her but also a significant loss to our political family and the wider Oshodi/Isolo community. Her dedication, resilience, and commitment to serving others will remain an inspiration to many who had the privilege of working alongside her.

As we mourn her departure, I pray that Almighty God accepts her soul, forgives her shortcomings, and grants her eternal rest. May He also continue to protect our communities and spare us from experiencing such painful losses in the future.

My sincere prayer is that peace, unity, and good health will continue to prevail in Oshodi/Isolo Local Government and throughout Lagos State. May God comfort every grieving heart and strengthen us all during this challenging time.
